EXISTENCE
Thousands of people from all over the world immigrate to the United States in hope of a better, more fulfilling life. However, they often have to face challenges in the new country that they never anticipated. This photographic series aims to bring forth the plight of thousands of South Asian women immigrants who come to the United States on a dependent visas and have to face culture shock, depression, socially isolation, psychological distress, and despair, and very often domestically abused. It questions what their ‘existence’ in the world they live.
