This series is about nostalgia, a sentiment of loss and displacement. Having being displaced from my home and country, has increased my nostalgic love and longing for them, even more.  The diptychs are symbolic of the “loss” or “displacement” that one feels when they are taken out of their natural environment and placed into a new one. Just as the flowers wither when plucked and brought inside.
